Wuvly geraniums

First: the photo of the day! And, what a surprise, geraniums! No fluffy stuff here, folks. ...except for those kittens, you know.

But now, because I have opinions and like funny comics, I present you with the following comic from TheOatmeal! Good ol' TheOatmeal, presenting us with funny things. But now the opinion part:

It is REALLY annoying to hear people complain about Valentine's Day, and how they're going to hide or boycott candy or wear goth makeup or whatever, and do you know why? Because the people who are kvetching about V-Day are complaining because they are lonely and sad and bitter about it. Perhaps I'm unfair in my assessment?

I don't think I am. I think I am perfectly justified, and do you know why? Because I am far older than eleven months, and most of my life was spent single. Because during that time, since I began to care about finding "my other half," I was unhappy with V-Day, and whined about it and how awful and corporate it was and so on and so forth. I know what it's like to be lonely and single. And...

• I know that even when you're single, you're loved.

• I know that the culminating point in your life isn't finding your Other Half; you're so much more than your relationship with one other human being.

• I know that there's no point in moaning about loneliness, because that helps no one, especially not yourself.

So don't imitate Young Werther, and go have an adventure rumpus with nice-smelling people!
